It is a museum of flight tradition that the last crew of any aircraft gets to sign the wheel well of the artifact. Here the last Shuttle crew signed the nose landing gear wheel well of the FFT.
30 years of wear and tear on the FFT. Here are the scuff marks from ALL the shuttle flown astronauts who practiced the emergency egress from the trainer. The museum decided not to restore the FFT as all the wear and tear, dings and scratches would take away from the historical significance of it.
